Who is this class for?

Students of all levels of artistic experience are welcome. Projects will be adjusted to fit individual skills and will encourage maximal growth.

Class Description:

In this course, students will have the opportunity to interact with various mediums of art and will develop and hone their techniques while exploring the richly diverse ancient and classical societies (Creation-500 AD). Concise historical context, the study of iconic period pieces, and consistent studio projects will enhance your student’s understanding and appreciation of these unique eras of art. Ancient Hebrew/early Christian, Greek, Roman, Chinese, East Indian, and Mayan civilizations are some of our major focal points. Expect drawing, painting, claywork, ink work, sculpting, among other media exposure throughout the school year.

Homework:

Students will complete most work in class but will occasionally have assignments that they need to do at home.

Grading:

This class is not graded.
