Students of all levels of artistic experience are welcome. Projects will be adjusted to fit individual skills and will encourage maximal growth.

Class Description:

In “Art Exploration: Modern Era,” we will be exploring the great art masters of the modern era (circa 1650-1950) and how they thought about, explored and advanced the fine arts. We will have hands-on art projects to explore the styles and techniques of that time period, as well as discuss Christian themes within the art and how it all points our hearts back to a wonderful Creator. This class encourages kids to learn by doing, and realism is not a focus or requirement for this class. This class will explore the arts through studying the time period of Post Renaissance through Modern Era.

Homework:

Students will complete most work in class but will occasionally have assignments that they need to do at home.

Grading:

This class is not graded.
