Frequently Asked Questions

*Do I have to sign up for all the classes?

Students can take any number of classes- just one or all of them. We give a discount for students taking more than one class.

*Do you have a lunch period?

There is a lunch period for both age groups (the younger students have lunch from 12:00-12:30, the older students have lunch from 12:10-12:30). Students need to bring their own food and drink. The lunch period is monitored by an adult.

*Can I just drop off my students or do I have to stay onsite?

You can drop off your student and do not have to be onsite while your student is in classes. You are also welcome to stay on site in the Lobby and wait for your student’s class(es) to end.

*Can my student stay onsite if they have time in-between classes and do you have a study Hall?

High school age students are allowed to stay on site and do school work in the lobby but they will not be constantly monitored by an adult (at least 2 adults are onsite at all times). The door to the church is locked and they will not be allowed to leave the building during this time unless they have written permission from the parent. This will need to be arranged with the director, Diana Turner.

*Can I pay monthly?

Yes, you can pay monthly, by semester or by the year. When you register you are able to state how you would like to pay. You can pay they administration fee and materials fee the first month along with tuition or ask us to spread those fees out among the months.

*Do I get my money back if my student is sick or drops out?

We still have to pay our teachers for their time, so we do not give refunds unless the the teacher or director cancels classes for some reason or your student drops out of the program. For canceled classes, you will receive a refund or credit for the time missed. If you need to drop out of the program, you will only pay for the classes your student has attended.  If your student is ill or can’t attend for an extended length of time, then we will gladly discuss a refund with you. If a teacher is sick we will use a substitute for the class so that the class doesn’t have to be cancelled.

*What do you do for a snow day?

Watch/listen to the news- if APS schools are closed then we will close our classes as well. If they are on a 2 hour delay then only the classes that start at 9:00 will be cancelled. The rest of the classes will be held.
