Students who love or will learn to love music!
Class Description:
Immerse your student in the joy of music and movement with our dynamic class! This engaging course introduces basic musical skills like rhythm, melody and pitch recognition through interactive games and activities. The Middle Ages will be integrated into our curriculum, exploring Medieval chant, folk songs and instruments to bring history to life through music.
Students Will:
- Learn various songs and musical works from different eras
- Learn the basics of music theory and rhythm
- Learn period dances and movements to music
- Improve and grow as a singer
- Learn choreography with music and songs
- Explore different instruments
- Investigate music in history
Homework:
There will be little, if any homework. Students may be asked to practice particular pieces at home on occasion.
Grading:
Grades will not be assigned unless requested by the parent.
